Online+, ICE burns, MPC wallets, and unstoppable content: Ice Open Network AMA recap

ICE is building more than just another blockchain – it’s building a new internet. In this AMA session with LetsExchange, Zeus, founder & CEO of Ice Open Network, broke down how Online+ is redefining social apps with censorship resistance, NFT-powered accounts, and zero passwords. 

From ICE’s aggressive burn mechanics to mobile-first, multi-chain UX, here are the highlights from one of the most ambitious Web3 projects around.

John: Can you explain how Online+ differs from other platforms, such as X or Instagram?

Zeus: Online+ is fully integrated into our ecosystem, providing users with complete control over their data. Posts, likes, and comments are signed with users' private keys – no one can alter them. It’s censorship-resistant and decentralized by design, and users can even delete their own data. Plus, they can build similar apps with our framework in under an hour.

John: How is Online+ handling Telegram limitations? Some projects were affected when Telegram changed its policies.

Zeus: We were never heavily dependent on Telegram. Our native apps work independently, and we have already built web support. While other projects centralized everything around Telegram, we designed Ice to be more resilient. We just switched integrations when needed, and there was no major impact.

John from LetsExchange: ICE now has its own chain. How has that transformed the project?

Zeus, Founder & CEO of Ice Open Network: It hasn’t transformed us much yet. We're still mostly on BSC until Online+ fully launches. Our chain is used within our ecosystem, but we’re chain-agnostic. Projects on Solana or elsewhere can utilize our framework without requiring migration. We’re not forcing anyone to move – we just provide tools that work across chains and still support burning ICE.

John: Let’s talk about the deflationary model. How does it work, and how is it different?

Zeus: ICE is used throughout our ecosystem – tipping, upgrading accounts, ads, token trading, and more. Every transaction feeds into ICE buybacks and burns. For example, if someone pays $10 to upgrade, that’s $10 worth of ICE bought from the market and burned. No fees go to the team – everything fuels deflation. We believe it's even more deflationary than BSC’s model.

John: Can you access Online+ via mobile or browser? What platforms will it support?

Zeus: Yes. It’s currently in closed beta, but once released, it will launch first on iOS and Android. Then web access will follow, and later in the year, native desktop apps for Windows, Mac, and Linux will be available.

John: What has the beta testing of Online+ revealed so far? What features are users enjoying?

Zeus: Users love the built-in MPC wallet that supports 20+ chains. It feels like a Web2 app, but it operates entirely on Web3. You can tip creators, swap tokens, and send crypto over nicknames – no complex wallet addresses. There's no email or password – just passkey biometrics, stored locally, for seamless and secure login.

John: You mentioned censorship resistance. How does Online+ handle illegal content while staying decentralized?

Zeus: Every user has their own ledger. Content can’t be deleted – unless it’s flagged for serious issues (e.g. child porn, drugs). In those rare cases, validators vote on removals through consensus. Regular opinions or whistleblowing? Those are protected. Additionally, with thousands of community-run domains, governments cannot easily block the app – it is decentralized at every layer.
